    Acquired, Femail.com.au and Girl.com.au!

Trellian's CEO Rene Warmuz, announced the purchase of two e-zine sites down under. The Australian sites, Femail.com.au and Girl.com.au are considered to be Australia's No 1 destinations on the web for women of all ages. Trellian's plans for the two sites include, increasing traffic to existing sites, such as Trellian.com . Further plans include the introduction of eCommerce enabled shopping to both female sites and the globalization of readership.

Both on-line magazines, Femail.com.au and Girl.com.au, offer a free web-based email system which gives members a unique email address. Targeting the Internet-savvy woman of today with a down to earth approach, Femail.com.au attracts women from their mid 20's to the more mature woman, where Girl.com.au is the only e-zine of its kind directed at young women in Australia.

According to the magazines editors Michelle Palmer and Annemarie Failla, Femail and Girl are ready for the next phase. They have achieved outstanding results with a non-existent marketing budget. "Very few dot.com's can boast reaching and sustaining No.1 positions, based purely on the quality of their products,".

According to 'Hitwise,' an Australian web rating system, these sites have dominated the niche Australian female web market with 65% marketshare.

"Trellian, being a global organization, will take the projects to the next level. Both sites are generating revenue and run on low overheads, making them both viable businesses.the purchase fits into Trellian's e-commerce expansion plan, which is based on boosting traffic to its various sites." says Mr Warmuz.

"Femail and Girl have a strong and loyal member base and both have held the title of being the Most Visited Australian Women's Website over the last two years," explains Ms Palmer.

While the total number of web users grew by 22.4 per cent during the past year, the number of female users grew by 34.9 percent. (Source. Media Metrix and Jupiter Communications)

"This trend is being duplicated in Australia, and online magazines will undoubtedly continue to attract a growing number of female web users," comments Mr Warmuz. The sale has already attracted advertisers and eCommerce fulfillment companies.

Michelle Palmer and Annemarie Failla will continue as Editors for Femail.com.au and Girl.com.au.
