I get an "unable to open the specified browser" error message. 

The browser path is not set correctly in Preferences. The Browser field must have the full path to the executable file of your HTML browser.

Why does SiteMapper not read my entire site?

You must specify the full URL in the URL field of SiteMapper.
For Example:
http://www.domain.com/index.html
Note the page name is also included in the URL, even for the default page.

Note: SiteMapper may not load asp or other dynamically generated pages.
