How to find the Internet Explorer path

Usually the path is c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
To test this path is correct, follow the steps below:

1. copy the path from this page
2. Click the Start button, then click "Run"
3. Paste the path into the open field

4. Click OK


If the path is correct, an Internet Explorer window will open. Copy this path into the relevant settings section of the Trellian software. See the software's manual for more information.

If the window does not open, follow these steps to locate the Internet Explorer path.

Windows 95,98,98SE users:

1. Click the Start button
2. Click "Find" then "Files or Folders"
3. Enter iexplore.exe in the Named field
4. Select "My computer" from the look in drop down menu 5. Click the Find now button
6. When the search has completed, right click iexplore.exe and select properties. The path is listed in the Location section. Enter the path into the relevant settings section of the Trellian software, and add \iexplore.exe at the end of the path. See the software's manual for more information.

Windows 2000 users:

1. Click the Start button
2. Click "Search" then "Files or Folders"
3. Enter iexplore.exe in the Named field
4. Select "My computer" from the look in drop down menu 5. Click the Find now button
6. When the search has completed, right click iexplore.exe and select properties. The path is listed in the Location section. Enter the path into the relevant settings section of the Trellian software, and add \iexplore.exe at the end of the path. See the software's manual for more information.

Windows XP users:

1. Click the Start button
2. Click "Search"
3. Click "All files and folders"
4. Enter iexplore.exe in the "All or part of the file name" field
5. Select "My computer" from the look in drop down menu 6. Click the "More advanced options" item 7. Select "Search system folders" 8. Click the Search button
9. When the search has completed, copy the path from the "in folder" column of the results into the relevant settings section of the Trellian software, and add \iexplore.exe at the end of the path. See the software's manual for more information.
