eComm Store - Getting Started Guide

When eComm is run for the first time after installation, the store wizard will automatically pop-up.

Follow the basic steps in the store wizard to start your online store.

After you have filled in the basic details and have gotten to the "Layout" part of the wizard, choose the template you require or desire.

Once you have chosen the layout, the wizard will take you to another window where you need to fill out your contact details. Please enter them now.

After this window is complete click next, in the next window you can select what type of payment you want to be able to accept. To enter in the payment method select them on the list on the left hand side and then use the buttons pictured right to add or remove the payment options. Click on next once you have made your choice.

In the next window you can enter the message or information that will be displayed on the bottom of the order form page. These can be your contact details, delivery information etc. Then the next window is a confirmation message that they will receive after an order, enter in your own one or you can keep the default one.

In the next window you can choose what type of delivery methods are available to you, you may choose up to three.

In the next window you can select where you can deliver the products to. You can add countries in the same way you entered the payment methods. Then in the next window you select how the delivery charges should be calculated, there are 4 selections available.

The next window is most probably going to be the tax window unless you selected a set freight charge. Either select the method of tax or enter the freight charge now. If there is a tax charge then you must select the type of tax and enter the required details necessary.

If the freight part of the orders are subject to tax enter in the tax rate in the field.Click on the finish button, the basic store properties are now complete. You are now in the main screen of the store creation area. In the top left of the main area is the Product/Category Tree, this is in a hierarchical sort of setup with the main folders etc at the start with all products at inside them folders.

To create a product, select the category you want it to appear in, you can also create a category as well in the appropriate area. Select the appropriate category and then click on "Product" which is next to the "Product/Category Tree".

Once a product has appeared in the "Product/Category Tree" enter in the appropriate details in the inventory tab.

The buttons next to some of the fields allow a more comprehensive entry of information.

The "Shelves" are mainly used to lower the amount of categories needed and so that the products are under a variety of "Shelves" or really fields. Such as if your doing wines, you might have a category called wines. Then under wines you might have a category called "White Wines", then under that category you might have a shelf called "Vintage" and "This Years" etc.

Enter in your appropriate categories, shelves and products until you have entered all your items for sale. Remember that the products and other items are listed in a hierarchical order.

You can also enter a "Page" anywhere into your store. The pages can be a page of news, information etc, they are just pages of information. The information that you can enter is pretty much the same as a product, its just that its not for sale. Also the pages contents are entered into the description field. To create a page click on the "Page" button.

You may also enter a link anywhere into your store by clicking on the "link" button. Edit the information of the link by clicking on it then typing in a title and then the URL under it (Including the http://).

A list is used to create a product that has multiple variables of that product, ie a store may sell bottles. In a type of bottle there might be a variety of colours.

To create a list select the correct place for the list to be placed, and then add in a number of products under that list. The products are the different varieties of item, ie the red bottle or the green bottle.

You still have to enter the correct information for each of the products under that list.

When the store is created it will be easy to buy a type of product with different variables.

Now you need to select the type of currency symbol being used.

Select the "Bon de Commande" tab, and then enter the curreny symbol in the correct field.

If you selected "Wieght Based Calculation" for the amount paid for the freight of an item you need to enter the amount of cost it costs for the weight selected.

Select the "Freight" tab and then fill in the correct amount in the field to the right of the screen.

You have to fill in the amount for each country as well.

Once all this information has been entered, select the "build" button. This button will build the online store. You can publish the site as well onto a server, but you need to be connected to the internet. If you connect to the Internet through a proxy server or firewall, you need to select the "options/preferences" menu and then either go to "proxy" or "firewall" and then enter the valid information.

You may need to enter the details of your "Order Server" & your "Payment Gateway". To do this enter the preferences menu and then select the "Order Server" enter all required details and then select the "Payment Gateway" and also enter all the valid details.

Once the "build" selection is selected, either select "build" and the webpage will be saved on your computer in the selected directory. Or you can publish it, to publish it enter in the server address and then the username/account and then the password. If you just selected the build function to a directory you may need to upload the files manually.

Once this is done you should have a fully functional store.
