Tidying HTML


To tidy HTML code locate the file or folder in the file browser. Select the file/folder so it is highlighted. If a folder is selected, all HTML files within the folder will be tidied.



Click the Tidy button. Select the tidying options required from the tabs. For more information on the options see the Tidying Options section. To preview the tidied HTML code click the Preview button. The code can also be previewed by clicking the Before and After tabs.

To begin the tidying process click OK

If the HTML file contains invalid HTML code WebTidy will display an error message. The HTML file should be free of any code errors before running the Tidy tool.



To edit the HTML file click the Edit button

To view the HTML file in a web browser click the View button.
